Once upon a time there was a little girl named JKC. She had a wonderful brother named REC. They began a tradition that lasted many years. They would ‘go’ Christmas shopping together – sort of. They would start their shopping on Christmas Eve, not because they had to, but because they wanted to. It was so much more fun that way. Most of the people were happy, they weren’t sick of Christmas music, decorations, or shopping yet. It was a good time.
The ‘key’ was that they would go at the same time, but not necessarily the same store. Then they would call each other and talk the whole time till they were done shopping. That was the best part of the whole Christmas Eve shopping experience!
Then, one year, JKC called to see what time they were going to go shopping, and she was met with devastating news. REC did not have to go shopping – it was all already done! You see, he was recently married, and his wife did not know about the tradition, therefore she had already finished all of the shopping. :O
The memory is still very special, and dear to her. She thinks about it every year, even though they don’t go shopping together anymore.
And they all lived happily ever after.
