Once upon a time there was a little girl named JKC. JKC’s mommy was very sick and she was in the hospital. JKC’s father was doing his best to take good care of their 4 little children. In an effort to make cooking just a little bit faster, he purchased a microwave oven.
JKC’s father was hoping to feed his children quickly and hurry off to the hospital. So he grabbed the owner’s manual for the microwave oven and looked for ‘cooking time tips’. The manual suggested that to cook one hotdog in the microwave he should cook it for 1 minute. With a little basic math he decided in order to cook the 10 hotdogs at the same time he had to cook them for 10 minutes in the microwave.
While some of the hotdogs managed to make it out of the microwave without blowing up (some of the hotdogs were not that fortunate), they were about as soft as a thick piece of cardboard. You can only imagine how difficult it was to eat these hotdogs!
Therefore, while a microwave is a wonderful invention, it is necessary to cook fewer hotdogs at shorter periods of time in order to still be able to call it food in the end.
